Earlier this year Bottega Veneta made a bold move by leaving the company's social media platforms and its millions of followers in 2020. We, at Ardor, begin to wonder why in the midst of a global pandemic, where the online and social media presence is peaking, would such a high-profile brand do such a thing?
Many high-end brands across multiple industries, such as the luxury automobile industry, don't use traditional marketing methods or commercials to spread word of their product offering. This is to convey an exclusive and luxurious image, and we can't help but wonder if this is what Bottega Veneta has in mind. The only high-end fashion brand without a social media presence is now left to be shared strictly by word of mouth.
What do you think of Bottega Veneta's social media absence?
