It is a natural source of vitamin C. Taking your vitamins is always important, but you should be getting them from the foods you consume. High consumption of vitamin C has been proven to aid cancer prevention, reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease (the highest cause of death in the U.S.), fight off the common cold, and has many other advantages.
It is a source of potassium. Potassium is incredibly important to the human body. Its function is to help the nerves function properly, the muscles to contract, and even helps move nutrients to cells and waste out of cells. Vegetables and fruits, such as lemons, are an excellent source of potassium.
One of our favorite reason to drink lemon water is because it aids digestion. Many people these days begin their day with a glass of warm lemon water because of it kick starts ones digestion. Just as acids in our stomach naturally break down foods, the acid in lemons does the same. Due to this, the acid in lemon can be helpful in supplementing stomach acid levels. After learning all of that, why wouldn't you start drinking lemon water?

fresh mint leaves
Ginger
lemon
Add fish mint leaves, ginger, and squeeze lemon into a pitcher of water and let it sit over night. Enjoy!
